Aromatherapy Soy Candles

From LoveToKnow Candles

Essential oils can be used via light bulb scents, vaporizer mists, or aromatherapy soy candles as a wonderful, affordable, and natural means to enhance health. Simply by inhaling the mists released by any of these items, we can make our constitutions more robust and can increase our bodies’ ability to fight microorganisms.

Aromatherapy candles are pretty and practical.

Inhaling Health

Using hot springs, engaging in sweat lodges, and tenting over steaming liquids are related. All of these behaviors rank among the traditional means people have used to convey the restorative properties of plants to suffering humans and to our animal companions. Both history and mythology are replete with examples of our employment of these methods.

Even conventional medicine has adopted this age-old concept of bringing healing to the sick via feeding the mucous membranes in the epidermis, in the respiratory track, in the digestive track and in the genitourinary system. Instead of delivering medication by mouth or by injection, conventional caretakers are increasingly prescribing bronchodilators and humidifiers, and other, relatively “gentle” technologies in order to bring patients the benefits of natural or of synthetic cures.

Candles are a remarkable means by which to inhale health since their combined light and heat readily convey herbal goodness through a variety of chemical processes. Plus, candles are inexpensive relative to other modalities of healing.

Limits of Traditional Methods

Hot springs and sweat lodges, salt caves and other locations specific to healing are luxuries to most of us who are not in need of heroic measures. Whereas such locales are lovely, sensible ways to bring back health, and to effect stress management they are often expensive to get to and expensive to visit.

Similarly, stroking light fixtures with oils, tenting one’s head over a steaming bowl of liquid, or even assembling a humidifier might prove to challenging for folks compromised with the flu or other systemic illness. Hot tea and warm soup work because they contain useful ingredients; they take little effort if prepared by someone else, and they are psychologically soothing.

Pills and conventional potions, regardless of their delivery system, too, have limits. Most synthetic drugs have known side effects. Many pharmaceuticals are expensive.

Thus, candles offer the perfect opportunity to combine the benefits of aromatherapy without some of the disadvantages of other methods.

Aromatherapy Soy Candles

Much has been written about the benefits of incense. A lot of text has been generated, as well, about the beauty and power of candles, from their use to clean toxins via ear canals to their role in meditative practices. Less exposition has been shared about aromatherapy soy candles, per say.

Whether poured into tins or contained in glasses, these clean, slow-burning solids are superlative to their paraffin, tallow, or gel counterparts in that they are reputed not to yield carcinogens, not to dirty one’s walls with soot, and not to derive from nonrenewable sources. Since soy candles are usually free of pesticides and herbicides as well, they make an excellent means of transporting healing oils’ essence.

Further, soy often bests bayberry and bees wax, other wonderful carriers of healing oils, in price. When a sniffle or worst sends us under the blankets, we need fragrant herbs’ healing power rather than a grand pharmacy or health food store bill. The next time you burn an oil-infused candle, but don’t want the fuss and mess associated with petroleum-based products and don’t want the expense associated with many natural products, reach for soy.
